Building my first course on AI Search, Entity SEO and Knowledge Graphs

Beatrice Gamba - ML for SEO course

When Lazarina Stoy reached out to me and asked whether I would consider creating a course, the idea immediately made sense. I had spent years applying these concepts in real projects, discussions, and strategic work. The only thing I had never done before was formalize them into a structured learning experience.

That challenge was precisely what made the project worth doing, and why I decided to move forward with it.

When It Became Clear I Had to Do It

For a long time, I had been watching the SEO industry struggle to explain what was happening to search.

Teams were doing everything they had been taught to do, yet brands were still misunderstood by search engines and AI systems. Visibility felt inconsistent. Authority felt fragile. And most explanations stopped at surface level tactics.

At the same time, search systems were clearly moving toward entities, relationships, and meaning. Knowledge graphs and large language models were no longer experimental concepts. They were already shaping how information is retrieved, summarized, and trusted.

When Lazarina suggested turning this into a course, it became clear that this knowledge needed a proper structure. Not a talk. Not a thread. Not scattered explanations. Something people could study, revisit, and apply.

From intuition to structure

Building AI Search, LLMs, Entity SEO, and Knowledge Graph Strategies for Brands forced me to slow down in ways I was not used to.

I had to take things I understood intuitively and explain them step by step. I had to be precise about definitions. I had to decide what really matters and what is just noise. That process was challenging, but it was also clarifying.

The course starts with entities because that is where modern search starts. Not with keywords, but with things. People, brands, products, concepts, and the relationships between them. From there, it moves into brand entities, structured data, and knowledge graphs, and finally into how all of this connects to AI search and LLM based systems.

Nothing in the course is there to fill space. Every module exists because it answers a real question I have heard repeatedly in my work.

Why is my brand not clearly recognized?
Why does AI misunderstand what we do?
Why do competitors appear as authorities?
How do we build visibility that lasts?

What I wanted the course to be

I was very clear about what I did not want.

I did not want a checklist.
I did not want shortcuts or hacks.
I did not want old SEO tactics with new labels.

I wanted a course that explains how meaning is built and reinforced across the web, and how machines interpret that meaning. A course that gives people the mental models they need to make good decisions, even as platforms and interfaces change.

This is why the course includes practical frameworks, real world examples, and applied work, rather than abstract theory.

What building it taught me

Creating my first course taught me how much clarity matters.

When people understand how search systems reason, their work changes. They stop reacting to every update and start designing their presence intentionally. They move from chasing signals to building structure and consistency.

That shift is what I care about most.

I built this course for people who feel that search has changed, but have not been given the tools to understand how.

For SEOs who want to move beyond keywords.
For brand teams who want to be understood, not just indexed.
For marketers who want to prepare for AI driven search rather than react to it.

A final thought

At the end of the day, the course is about alignment.

Search engines and AI models are trying to understand the world. Brands that help them do that clearly, consistently, and honestly will win over time.

Being asked to build this course pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it also reminded me why this work matters to me. Meaning matters. And in AI search, meaning is everything.
